I think it's more than trust with Megan and Jay. They think about what we need or what might be an issue, and they’re bringing them up and solving the problems for you so you don’t have to think about that.

You could not tell working with Jay and Megan that they had huge homes they were working on. We were still just as important a client as someone building a gorgeous home on the water, attention wise.

The importance of trust is that when you invest that kind of money, the kind of money it takes to build a home - your dream home, your vacation home, your getaway home, you want to feel good about it. And, that kind of relationship where you invest your money and you’re relying so heavily on these people for ideas for the direction you might go and or the ultimate project, you want to feel good about it. And, they give you comfort in the sense that this is going to get done right and I’m going to be happy about this.

In addition to being very good real estate agents, they really have a great design aesthetic. Jay is very artistically talented. He came up with so many creative ideas for our home; a lot of added features that I hadn’t thought of and that really made the home special; a lot of people noticed it.

And as I would say to a friend who’s looking for a referral; I’m not going to refer you to somebody who I think you’re going to call me back one day and say [“why’d you give me that person?”] I want you to call me back and say [“thank you for that person.”] And that’s what you’ll get with Jay and Megan.

I look at them as the hot knife through butter. They’re gonna get it done just as fast as they can for the right price and you’re going to be satisfied with it. And, you’re going to be more satisfied, you’re going to be happy with them. And so, when you have that kind of feeling, after working with them for as many years as we have, we feel comfortable working with them. That’s why we work with them. And, there are a lot of good realtors on the Reef. There are a lot of good developers. But, we’re comfortable and we know we’re getting what we paid for.

My opinion, which was important to me, was that Jay also owned a construction company, and that he was able to provide the services for the renovations for the house after we bought it. That’s what was important to me.
